Votes cost 25 cents each. There is a 40-vote minimum purchase ($10) for online votes. You can purchase votes as often as you like. There will be three rounds of voting. Votes will be cumulative through all rounds. You must be registered to vote. Votes can be purchased on the registration page. If you attempt to vote without votes in your wallet, you will be prompted to go to the purchase page.
If you would like to purchase votes, but do not want to do so online, drop off or mail your voting order with cash, check, or money order payable to:

Voting proceeds will benefit the Newspapers in Education Program, which provides newspapers and other educational materials to local classrooms. Donations also will be made to the York County SPCA and the Adams County SPCA.
The first round of voting will start Friday, Oct. 7 and end Friday, Oct. 21, at 5 p.m.
The top 50 entries from the first round of voting will move to round two, which will start Wednesday, Oct. 26, and end Friday, Nov. 4, at 5 p.m. The top 25 pets will move on to round three.
The third round of voting will determine the rank of the top 25 finalists.
• The photo with the most votes will be named Pet of the Year and will be featured in full color on the cover of the calendar and on one month of choice inside the calendar. The owner will also receive $200 in gift certificates.
• Eleven other finalists will appear in full color on one month of the 2012 calendar.
• Thirteen runners-up will also appear in full color inside the calendar. All finalists and runners-up will receive a $20 gift certificate.
• The York Newspaper Company employees will be choose 15 additional photos as "our favorites." These will also appear in the calendar.
